What are the professional organizations doing to address the noise issue? Are they taking responsibility and helping neighbors address the noise impact of this sport? These are among the questions and a challenges our community faces.
By understanding and reaching out in good faith we have the best chance to resolve the disagreements we've been seeing in our communities.
PICKLEBALL ORGANIZATIONS
USA Pickleball: The national governing body for pickleball in the United States. USA Pickleball was established in 1984 and was the first organization to oversee the sport. It publishes an annually updated rule book that is the official rule book for most recreational games and amateur tournaments.
International Federation of Pickleball (IPF): The international representative of pickleball. The IFP was established in 2010.
Professional Pickleball Association (PPA): A professional pickleball tour that was launched in 2019 by Connor Pardoe. The PPA has a touring model with dozens of events per year.
Major League Pickleball (MLP): A professional pickleball tour that was launched in 2021 by Steve Kuhn. The MLP has a mixed-gender team tournament format.

Pickleball Magazine: A magazine that features cover stories and other resources for pickleball.
